We all are facing a new experience in this pandemic of Covid-19. Many of us call it 'New normal life'. We are experiencing this for about one and half of a year. Last year we all had experienced a strange type of Eid. Today we will share our experience about this type of Eid.
Many of us go to our home town, but it was totally impossible for the last year. So we couldn't experience that happiness with our close ones. But those who are habituated in this experience couldn't fulfill all of their expectations in this Eid. Though, those of us have their relatives living in Dhaka could satisfy themselves with an inferior substitute. But this experience was quite terrible for those who don't have any close relatives in Dhaka. We won’t talk about those people who are habituated to observe Eid in Dhaka alone, because they can never experience the real pleasure of Eid. Now let us talk about the preparation of Eid. As in of Lockdown, most of the shopping malls was closed so most of us couldn’t buy any new dress or attires for us. That's why, many of us couldn't wear new dresses on the Eid day, but those who had new dresses could wear them. Moreover, those who bought dresses from online stores could wear new dresses. But it is not a huge issue. Every year, Iftar Bazaar takes place in our country, from those shops we buy different types of Iftar items. But due to lockdown most of the shops were shut, so there were not much variety of foods in our Iftar Menu. But those moms of us who were free prepared some delicious foods for Iftar.
Last year, most of us couldn't attend in the Jamaat of Eid, that's why most of us woke up from sleep at about 11am or 12pm. As we fasted for the last one month, we don't felt much hungry at the morning so, most of us had skip the breakfast or had taken less food. Most of us go to other places for roaming, but due to lockdown we couldn't go anywhere. So we had to observe Eid from our home. Some might not have cooked any special food as there were no helping hand in there house, also some had cooked delicious food from there own consent. To complete these works and take the lunch it might have been the afternoon, and then we took our mobile phones and jumped into the world of internet. Also if there is our siblings or cousins in our home then it is also good because we can gossip with them. Moreover, if there is any close relative living close to our house than we might have been went there or they have visited us. At last it became night and the Eid Day ended. The other Eid days also went like this.
Till now we were talking about the people living in Dhaka, now we will talk about the people living outside Dhaka. Those people who were close to their families and relatives passed a good time. But those who were far from them couldn't pass a favourable time, they passed a time as like as the people living in Dhaka. Also those who are living in the remote areas, couldn't get the facility of Internet and other facilities regarding it, so that they couldn't pass a good time.
At last, we can say that, the Eid was not much enjoyable but we surely had a new experience.
